The day begins in Oxford at Doctor Martin Luther King Junior Park.

The stage concludes in Cincinnati at the Berry Way Fountains on the north side of the Roebling Bridge.

There's a lot going on today! While it's not a terribly long stage, at least in comparison to some of the stuff we pulled further west, we're going to hustle out of Oxford this morning. While we're roadbound, Indian Creek Road is on the whole quite pleasant, with limited traffic and ample shade. We'll keep winding through Reily, where we'll unfortunately be too early for the pizzeria to be open, and then back westward, nearly making it all the way into Indiana again. Before the Hoosiers get too close, though, the ADT turns south once more. After a long ride through few waymarks, we'll finally roll into the historic Shaker Village of White Water, where we'll grab a much appreciated break.

Refreshment Stop - Miami Whitewater Community Church

Whith thanks to the Friends of Miami Whitewater, we'll carry on and be rewarded soon after with a bike/pedestrian track, leading into the Miami Whitewater Forest. Short as this may be, it's no less appreciated for the change of pace. The ADT then skirts the edge of the city of Harrison, before pushing onward to modest Elizabethtown. It's a small town with a big sign, announcing the unification of the two branches of the American Discovery Trail. If we pull off the timing, the other relay team will be waiting to greet you there!

Reunited and feeling so good, we'll carry on to North Bend. That will provide a proper opportunity to celebrate the coming together of those two relay teams.

Event - North Bend - William Henry Harrison Tomb - 11:30am

We're grateful to the Village of North Bend and the Lost Bridge/Carriage House for organizing a rest stop at the tomb with seating, beverages, snacks along with a welcome offered by the Mayor and members of the North Bend Village Council, Sons of the American Revolutions, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Time permitting, we also look forward to a tour of the Tomb and further information on the history of William Henry Harrison from the Director of the Tomb. 

Having visited the memorials to the father-and-son Harrison presidents, who both hailed from North Bend, we'll transition into the third part of this stage, first following the Ohio River Scenic Byway into Addyston and then forking onto quieter paved roads that parallel the highway. This section concludes at the Anderson Ferry, which has shuttled travelers across the Ohio River for more than two centuries! Part four involves the ADT's shortest state, with just a brief journey across these northern outskirts of Kentucky, passing through the neighboring towns of Bromley and Ludlow. The route climbs into Devou Park, where you'll be able to enjoy the loveliest view of Cincinnati, before descending into Covington and crossing the Roebling Bridge into the Queen City--and back into Ohio.
