The day begins at The River View in Madison.

The stage concludes at Gabbard Riverfront Park in Aurora.

We'll start the day in style, with a great kick-off!

This is another stage where the ADT cuts inland, leaving the Ohio River behind throughout, only to return to it at day's end. Aside from a couple of short exceptions, the day involves a steady northeastward progression through rich agricultural land. Over the course of the morning, quiet roads lead you through Manville, Canaan, and Cross Plains. After all of that, we'll enjoy a well-earned, mid-stage break in the aptly-named Friendship.

From there, the route can only be characterized as wiggly, as though we tried to draw the map while riding in a bus. This is partially a consequence of the Laughery Creek's influence, as it flows south of the road for much of this section, before the ADT actually crosses directly over it. The day concludes with a return to the Ohio River Scenic Byway, which leads directly into lovely Aurora.

Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at Shelby Township (13 miles), Cross Plains (27.5 miles), Friendship (32.8 miles), and Laughery Creek (46.7 miles). Water will be available to top off bottles, along with all necessary participant gear. Food may be available for purchase in Canaan, Cross Plains, and Friendship.

Take Heed: Laughery Creek needs to be forded, and depending upon recent rainfall it might necessitate a detour, looping south and then back north around the creek.
