The stage concludes at the Capitol State Historic Site in Corydon.

Details:

After some longer stages of late, it's a relief to have one more accommodating to the walkers, joggers, and rollers out there! The first 11.3 miles are offroad, mostly following the wonderful Adventure Hiking Trail along a high bluff overlooking the river. This means as well, of course, some ups and downs, including a pair of ~400-foot ascents. Eventually, the trail delivers travelers onto the Old Forest Road, which is a quiet and paved road leading through most of the remainder of the stage. A final push along the Ohio River Scenic Byway leads into the center of Indiana's first capital.

A special thanks to the Corydon Lions Club for providing dinner for all participants today!

Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at Cold Friday Rd (3.5 miles), Old Forest Rd (11.4 miles), and Marathon Gas Station (17.4 miles). Water will be available to top off bottles, along with all necessary participant gear. 

Take Heed: A significant section of this stage follows trails through O'Bannon Woods, including an 8-mile section during which the support vehicle will not be able to reach you. Food is not available in this stage until the very end, so prepare accordingly.
