The day begins in North Judson at the North Judson North Parking Lot - Erie Trail.

The stage concludes in Denver at the W Harrison St crossing of the Nickel Plate Trail.

This stage begins on a trail and ends on a trail. In between, there are plenty of country roads, but most of them are quiet and with minimal traffic.

From North Judson, the NJ-Erie Trail brings us southeastward to Bass Station. From there, the ADT turns right onto U.S. Route 35, leading past Tippecanoe River State Park. That river, too, has some bearing on our itinerary, because there aren't too many bridges! After a long push southward, we finally shift back to the east at the small regional airport, turning onto County Road 250 N. The ADT zigzags through a few different roads, wrapping around Bruce Lake, before settling down on W 100 N for a long haul into Rochester--the first town of any size today, and a pretty big one at that.

After traveling south along Main Street and then turning left onto E 12th Street, we reach the trailhead for the Nickel Plate Trail, which will carry us through the remainder of the stage. It briefly converges upon U.S. 31, but fear not. Soon enough the loud highway will fork off, leaving you in peace and quiet as you roll through the expansive agricultural fields. Modest Macy offers a good spot for a break, if you're in need of one as the afternoon wears on. Eventually, though, we'll arrive in Denver, where a warm welcome is in store.
