The day begins at North Creek Meadow in Lansing.

The stage concludes in North Judson at the North Judson North Parking Lot - Erie Trail.

We thank all of our friends in Lansing for closing off our Illinois section in style and delivering us to the Indiana border.

From there, this stage travels along one of the newest parts of the ADT following a recent route change. Is it longer? You bet. It's a lot longer than it used to be. However, that brings with it an amazing reward: a section directly along Lake Michigan and through Indiana Dunes National Park. This change also shifts over large parts of the stage from roads with auto traffic to purpose-built pedestrian and bike tracks.

Having traveled eastward through Munster, Hammond, and Hobart, and then converging upon the lake, the ADT now enters Michigan City. From there, it turns southward, moving through La Porte and then continuing along Long Lane--an aptly named road if ever there was one. With most of the urban areas now in the rearview mirror, and population density rapidly thinning out, this last part of the stage mostly proceeds through farm country, before finally arriving in North Judson, an ADT Trail Town!
