Details:

After some circuitous stages on the River-to-River Trail in Illinois, the first full day in Indiana offers a mercifully direct route to Evansville, generally moving due east on backroads situated between Indiana 62 and the Ohio River. It's easy walking, between cornfields and expansive lawns, but very few landmarks of note. A little more tree cover and greenery awaits you in the last chunk of the stage, as the route passes along the southern edge of University of Southern Indiana, through Burdette Park, and alongside the Ohio River as it contorts into a horseshoe bend, with the city of Evansville wrapped around the top.

Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at Lower Mount Vernon & Gun Club Rd (4.8 miles), Heusler (11 miles), and Burdette Park (15.8 miles). Water will be available to top off bottles, along with all necessary participant gear.
