The day begins at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in West Branch.

End Information:

The stage concludes at LeClaire Park in Davenport.

Details:

We aren't taking it easy on our last full day in Iowa. This ranks among our longest rides in the state, trailing the leader by less than a mile. Aside from the short opening leg out of West Branch, most of the morning is spent heading southward, following paved country roads through West Liberty and Nichols.

Soon after, though, the ADT makes a sharp left turn, bearing due east for the border. This leads first to Muscatine and the Mississippi River, including one short stretch directly alongside Ol' Man River. After winding through some quieter backroads, we join Iowa Highway 22 for an extended leg. Mercifully, just after Buffalo, the route forks onto S Concord St, which brings us back to the Mississippi as we head into the final approach into Davenport.
