The day begins in Marthasville at the Katy Trail - Marthasville Trailhead.
The stage concludes in Clayton at Chapman Plaza.
While yesterday was the last full stage on the Katy Trail, many miles still remain along that quiet riverside track today, with breaks in Augusta and Defiance recommended, as the last two towns of any size along the route. The trail then passes through Weldon Springs and cuts directly across a substantial bend in the Missouri before reaching Missouri 364 / Page Ave. Transfer here to the Creve Coeur Park Connecter, a dedicated bike/pedestrian track that runs alongside the Veterans Memorial Bridge over the Missouri and southward around Mallard Lake. After that, you're road-bound, looping eastward through the city of Creve Coeur, and then along Ladue Road into Clayton.
Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at Augusta (11.3 miles), Weldon Springs Trailhead (21.6 miles), and Page Bridge Trailhead (34.9 miles). Water will be available to top off bottles, along with all necessary participant gear. Toilets are available at trailheads.
Take Heed: You're unlikely to be able to purchase food between Augusta and near the end of this stage, so plan accordingly.
