The day begins at Albert the Bull Park in Audubon.

The stage concludes at Adel City Hall in Adel.

This is certainly not the fastest way to travel from Audubon to Adel. However, you can't deny that the itinerary makes for a fun journey, passing as it does through a series of welcoming communities. From Audubon, the ADT first moves east and then north along quiet, paved roads, leading ultimately into the center of Coon Rapids.

Event - Coon Rapids - Main Street Coon Rapids (406 Main Street)

After a fun visit, with special thanks to Main Street Coon Rapids, we turn eastward again, following another lonely road until intersecting the Raccoon River Valley Trail, which we'll take southward. This brings us, in relatively quick succession, through Yale, Panora, Linden, and Redfield, with opportunities for food in most of those communities. We stick with the RRVT as it swings back to the northeast in Redfield, taking us directly to the finish line in Adel, where there's an ice cream shop waiting just off the trailhead.
