The day begins at Red Oak Trails Trailhead in Red Oak, Iowa

End Information:

The stage concludes at Albert the Bull Park in Audubon.

Details:

The relay's first full stage takes a hard northward tack today, working its way back to another trail network, along with some interesting towns. The opening half of the stage, then, navigates through a series of quiet paved roads, looping past Elliott and then going straight through the center of Griswold. More country roads lead north, east, and north, past Cold Springs Park and into Lewis, where a quick detour can bring you to the second Freedom Rock encountered in the relay.

One more roadbound section remains, leading into and out of Atlantic, the Coca-Cola Capital of Iowa. After that, the ADT finally joins the T-Bone Trail, leading you past I80 and then alongside U.S. Highway 71 past Brayton and Exira, before finally delivering you into Audubon. Be sure to get your obligatory photo with Albert!
