Event - Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm Historic Site - Olathe
We're grateful to the City of Olathe and the folks at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop for welcoming us to this historic site, along with some refreshments to start off the day. This is the only surviving stagecoach stop on the entire Santa Fe Trail, so it's a real treat to get to see it up close.
After a short stretch of maneuvering along surface streets, the ADT joins the Indian Creek Trail and follows it to the end of Kansas. As the name implies, this pedestrian and bike track runs alongside the Indian Creek, typically with a small buffer from surrounding urban traffic, making this a delightful route through the southern outskirts of Greater Kansas City, and one of the easiest relay stages in terms of route-finding.
