The day begins at the Martin Bay Recreation Area, in the large parking area on Martin Bay Recreation Road.

The stage concludes next to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission office on E State Farm Rd, just south of North Platte.

After looping through Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area--a delightful little spot that is well worth a visit--the ADT skirts tiny Keystone (and its Little Church) and then resumes its eastward progression along the narrow strip of land situated between the North and South Platte Rivers. Much of this meanders along a placid canal-side track. After transitioning to county roads, a short section follows on U.S. Route 30 as the ADT enters Sutherland.

Following a well-earned break, turn south, crossing the South Platte River and looping along the northeastern edge of the Sutherland Reservoir, before joining another canal track that winds eastward. Eventually, this brings you past another large body of water, Lake Maloney, after which you'll head north on U.S. Route 83. With the city of North Platte just ahead, the relay will call it a day just before the large Menard's complex.
