The day begins in Cañon City at the Reynolds Trail Head.

The stage concludes in Pueblo at the southwest end of the G Harvey Nuckols Bridge

The opening leg of this stage is a delightful stretch along the Arkansas Riverwalk Trail. All too soon, you'll transition onto Cedar Ave (CO 115) for the approach into Florence.

Refreshment Stop - John C. Fremont Public Library - Florence

We're grateful to the folks at the library in Florence for providing us with a warm welcome as the relay passes through town!

From Florence, the relay continues to proceed along the south side of the Arkansas River, including an extended stretch on CR 120. Eventually, this brings us across the Arkansas, through the hamlet of Porland, and then onto Highway 50. 5.5 miles later, we escape the highway, heading south through Pueblo West and then into Lake Pueblo State Park.

A bike/pedestrian track wraps around the north side of Lake Pueblo, roughly paralleling Pueblo Reservoir Rd, before looping south through Swim Beach and Rock Canyon. Finally, the trail leads out of the park and eventually onto the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk into Pueblo.

Event - Pueblo Railway Museum - Noon

We're thrilled to end the day with a gathering at Pueblo Railway Museum, complete with full-sized-train rides offered on their red, white and blue Patriot engine. We hope everyone in Pueblo will turn out!

Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at John C Fremont Public Library in Florence (6.8 miles), Lower Beaver Creek Cemetery (18.2 miles), Katmando's General Store (27.5 miles), and Lake Pueblo State Park - Swim Beach (36.2 miles). Water will be available to top off bottles, along with all necessary participant gear. 

Take Heed: A short section of today's stage follows Highway 50, so make good use of the shoulder. Be prepared to pay a $4 access fee if walking/riding into Lake Pueblo State Park, or $10 if driving in.
