The day begins at Riverside Library and Cultural Center in Evans.
The stage concludes at Main St. & E Riverview Ave in Fort Morgan.
The South Platte River bends eastward today, and who are we to disagree? The ADT follows suit, leaving the Rockies behind us and resuming our slightly-delayed march towards the Atlantic. The morning involves an extended stretch on U.S. 34, and what that lacks in peace and quiet is partially offset by its efficiency, allowing you to make quick progress. When 34 curves southward after Empire Reservoir, the ADT turns north instead, soon joining Colorado 144 as it moves along the northern side of the Platte. This curls eastward, looping just south of Jackson Lake State Park and through modest Weldona, before finally delivering you into Fort Morgan.
Support: A support vehicle will be available for assistance throughout the day.
Take Heed: There is minimal shoulder available on U.S. 34, so be very attentive to surrounding auto traffic.
