The stage begins in Sheridan at the confluence of the Bear Creek and the S. Platte River, and the point at which the American Discovery Trail splits into the northern and southern routes across the Midwest.

At 8am there will be a public event featuring some local elected officials, everybody is invited and encouraged to come to that.

This is the busiest day of the entire relay, being at the split into north and south ADT routes there are a lot of participants plus all the local people, please get there early!

The stage concludes in Larkspur at the Frink Creamery TH.

From the ADT route split in Sheridan, the southern route begins by proceeding south on the Mary Carter Greenway Trail, alongside the South Platte River. Soon after, this brings us into Littleton.

Event - City of Littleton - Municipal Leaders Join the Relay

7 miles into the day, we complete the MCGT and loop around the Chatfield Reservoir and then westward onto the Waterton Canyon Trail. 14 miles of trails later, the ADT merges with the Colorado Trail. Over the next 15 miles, a significant ascent unfolds, climbing from 5800 feet to roughly 8500 through Pike National Forest, topping out at Rampart Range Rd & FR 507. The descent is steeper than the climb, dropping 2500 feet in roughly 7 miles as the trail pushes eastward to Perry Park Rd (CO 105). An easy ride along that paved road brings us to the outskirts of Larkspur for the final approach.

Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at Littleton - Hudson Gardens (4 miles), Waterton Canyon Trailhead (14.6 miles), Rampart Range (30.2 miles), and Jackson Creek & Perry Park (45.6 miles). Water will be available to top off bottles, along with all necessary participant gear. 

Take Heed: Cyclists should be prepared for both paved and unpaved surfaces in this stage.
