Start Information:

The day begins at Eagle's Landing in Copper Mountain. Free public bus service connects Copper Mountain to Frisco and Breckenridge.

End Information:

The stage concludes at Gold Hill Trailhead on Colorado State Highway 9, between Breckenridge and Frisco. Free public bus service connects the trailhead to Frisco and Breckenridge.

Details:

This is another stage spent entirely on the Colorado / Continental Divide Trails. From Copper Mountain, the route cuts southeastward, crossing CO 91 along the way. 4 miles into the stage, it then turns sharply back to the north, passing along the eastern flanks of the Tenmile Range, before turning (generally) eastward for the remainder of the walk. Eventually, you'll emerge onto Colorado State Highway 9 at the Gold Hill Trailhead.

Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at the CO 91 crossing (1.4 miles), but that's the only opportunity to connect.

Take Heed: For most of the stage, you'll be on your own, without the possibility of a support vehicle, so be sure to pack whatever supplies you need to make it through.
