The stage concludes at the intersection of Trickle Park Rd and Surface Creek Rd, just north of Park Reservoir in Grand Mesa National Forest.

Details:

You've got a beautiful day of hiking or running ahead of you, though that comes with roughly a mile of elevation gain in a steady ascent. Set out on Kannah Creek Trail, following it to Carson Lake, where you'll emerge on Forest Road 108. Turn right onto Forest Rd 100 and follow it all the way to Grand Mesa Scenic Byway. Turn right on the highway and follow it until just after Grand Mesa Lodge. Fork left onto Crag Crest National Recreation Trail. This delivers you to Eggleston Lake, where you'll head east on Trickle Park Rd. This winding road will bring you past a series of other reservoirs before arriving at your destination on the north side of Park Reservoir.

Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at Carson Lake Recreation Area (8.4 miles), Mesa Top Trailhead (13.9 miles), Crag Crest Trailhead (16.9 miles), and Crag Crest Campground (23.1 miles). Water will be available to top off bottles, along with all necessary participant gear. Pit toilets are available at Carson Lake and Mesa Top. Food may be available at Grand Mesa Lodge (16.5 miles).

Take Heed: Aside from Grand Mesa Lodge, no food is available for purchase along this walk.
