The stage concludes at Kannah Creek Trailhead (parking, but no water/toilet)
From the center of Grand Junction, head south on 5th St and then join the Las Colonias Trail along the north side of the Colorado River. Cross the river and proceed south on 27 3/8 Rd, then head east on Unaweep Ave. 28 1/2 Rd takes you south, across US 50, and then Rainbow Dr continues the southward progression. Follow a dirt track eastward past Whitewater Hill and a compost facility, finally emerging back at US 50.
Continue east on Reeder Mesa Rd. Get comfortable--you're on this for nearly 10 miles. Finally, a few quick turns deliver you onto Purdy Mesa Rd, which brings you to the finish line: the Kannah Creek Trailhead.
Support: A support vehicle will be accessible at US 50 (10.6 miles), Reeder Mesa Rd (15.6 miles), and Lands End Rd (19.5 miles). Water will be available to top off bottles, along with all necessary participant gear.
Take Heed: Shoulder space is quite limited on Reeder Mesa Rd.
